At Stolk Construction we believe strongly in the importance of giving back to our community. We consider ourselves a “local” company and do our very best to buy local and support other local businesses and non-profit clubs including the Rotary Club of Welland.
Stolk Construction began doing business in 1962. Throughout the past fifty-five years we have been involved in thousands of projects of varying sizes. An unequalled dedication to service and strong commitment to our customers’ needs has enabled us to grow from a small carpenter shop to a multi-million dollar company.
Located in Port Colborne – Stolk Construction’s current home was constructed in 1997. The two acre compound, located at 11 Petersburg Circle houses our administrative office, a milling plant and a warehouse, as well as a large storage yard. Stolk Construction was founded by the current company President’s grandfather, Leonard Stolk Sr. in 1955. Formerly a carpenter in the Netherlands Leonard Sr. immigrated to Canada in 1953 and began his own company a short while later.
Our primary goal as a company is to earn lifelong Customers and make the lives of these Customers easier. We do this by proactively identifying and resolving any issues that they may encounter. The purpose of our values statement is twofold. Our values ensure the actions of all Stolk employees are guided by a consistent set of principles. In addition these values help in the company’s strategic decision making efforts.
