The Duck Derby will see 1,000 rubber ducks race in the canal from the Division Street to East Main Street bridges. There is a total of $2,000 cash to be won with the 1st prize being $1,000. The first five ducks to cross the finish line win cash prizes.

“We are enthused to be partnering with the Welland Rose Festival this year to bring another element of fun to the downtown core, all the while raising funds to invest back into our community” said Tamara Coleman–Lawrie, President, Rotary Club of Welland. Ducks cost $10 each or three for $20. It is free to attend and watch. Tickets are available at all Welland Rose Festival events taking place throughout June or on race day from 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. All proceeds from this event go into funding projects supported by Welland Rotary Club both within the community and internationally.
